Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of fourteen. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent within the first round. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were damaged. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent bout with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her formidable wrestling skills to take down McGill and ended her via third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks prevailed by a majority vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round later in the 2nd. In her second fight, she beat Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger in the very first round and was awarded a prize for the performance of the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. Both the fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and stop Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. As a last-minute replacement to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
